Khawar has over 27 years of experience in Information Systems & Digital Innovation.   He is an experienced academic, innovator and entrepreneur.  His expertise is in Information Systems, Digital Strategy, Digital Innovation & Transformation and Digital Leadership.  He is passionate about cross-sector innovation and the role of technology to create transformative societal impact and value.


He has worked on the concept development and delivery of a range of pioneering knowledge transfer projects focusing on mobile technology for business, the creation of an application development and testing facility for mobile systems, a large-scale regional sub-cluster programme in mobile and wireless technologies, and a range of high-impact cross-sector projects that leverage digital capability. 

He is a member of the British Computer Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Visiting Professor of Digital Innovation at Birmingham City University in the UK.
